Sketches / Final Design

These are more ideation sketches that brought us to our final design. It began with working out different forms seeing which would be comfortable while holding and others that were just fun and looked different compared to other cameras on the market today.
Our final design is a pretty basic shape, we decided to focus more on the functionality of the form rather than making the form complex. It is housed in a silicone rubber to provide grip while holding and durability if it was to fall. The front is an aluminum casing to give it some strength. It will have two buttons that will be concave in, making it feel as if the buttons are molded to your fingers. The larger button is the trackpad and it will feature touch navigation technology similar to the new Apple TV Remote providing a fluid and precise experience while navigated through the camera with just a swipe of the thumb and a tap to select. The bottom button will be a multifunctional button that will depend on what display is on the camera; it could be a playback button while taking a photo,a back button while in the menu, or a trash button while in viewing a photo to delete it.
